Poetry and Prose

Not all artists use color and shape to paint pictures. There is a certain joy in polishing a phrase to just the right shape and form, such that when strung together, the words fall off the tongue. I've done a bit of that, on all sorts of topics, and you'll find some of it here.

Some are marked with a dagger as adult material; they contain disturbing or sexual imagery. I trust your discretion to pass over them if you shouldn't read them.

I Remember California (prose) -- Reflections on the only place which I will ever truly call home.

Cele-chan (poetry) -- I caught a friend asleep...

Dance (poetry) -- Another good friend of mine does martial arts.

Dragonsong (poetry) -- Not Anne McCaffrey, but Barbara Hambly, inspired by her Dragonsbane series.

Fears (poetry) -- A serious look at the fear of rejection.

Haiku (poetry) -- just one, but I hope to have more.

Labyrinth (prose) -- For those who have seen the movie, this is a parting glance at the Goblin King.

Lost:Found (poetry)

Days of Brass and Sunlight (prose) -- Inspired by R.A.MacAvoy's Tea With The Black Dragon.

Path of Twilight (poetry) -- The true "path less traveled by"...

Only the Stars (poetry) -- A study in complex forms.

Gold, Fire, and Paper (poetry) -- My first attempt at a sestina. I'm not religious, but an image did seize me for this one, so keep that in mind.

Silver Sea (poetry) -- Very short.

*  Eyes (poetry) -- Hypnotic eyes.

*  Fire and Ice (poetry) -- Submission and domination.

*  Demondream (poetry) -- A disturbing vision.
