The stories contained here are relatively self-contained, telling the tale of how Rebecca Nelson, a human occult herbalist, came together with Steven Millan, a vampire of Clan Tremere. For those of you not familiar with "Vampire", I have included a glossary of terms, and for the vast number of gamers who haven't followed Darke-Silver Theater, I have made a set of footnotes and background briefs for the characters and situations.
If this is your first time encountering these characters, please read the timeline. It has the major events leading up to the first story, including Steven's offer and the night of the Archon. Within the stories are footnotes, to clarify references, and links to glossary terms, in your choice of a frames or nonframes format. If you have a problem understanding any terms or references, let me know.
The whole tale began with a couple of small exchanges between two characters who had only the Kindred court and the occult in common. We as players had little knowledge of each other -- something which changed over time. As the characters developed, so did we... and we were surprised at how it came out.
Some of these are embellished transcripts of actual scenes played between us (the "Blood" series and "Serva curiosiatis"); the others are pure fiction, with only some consultation with the players of the characters involved.
The second set is named in Latin in reference to the Tremere; the English titles are poor translations of the range of meanings in the Latin.
