Reprint Policy

The fact of the Internet is that if you want to copy something from this site, I can't stop you. The nature of web browsers is to download files, and I can't tell what you do with them afterward. I'm sure several pieces of my artwork and a few paragraphs of writing have shown up somewhere else, and will again.

If you want to be fair about it, however, you can ask permission. My blanket rule is that if you want two paragraphs or less of writing, or if you just want one of my images for your desktop or business cards, go right ahead; credit would be appreciated, but I won't hunt you down if you don't note your source.

If you want more than that, or it's going to have a wider audience than just a few people, talk to me. I haven't lost sight of the fact that such requests are one of the highest forms of flattery, and I'll happily hash out details with you. The main reason I restrict copying at all is that I want to have a feeling for where I'm quoted, by whom, and what's happening with my artwork... I also want to be credited for what I create. Not so unreasonable, I think.

There is one exception to this document: Some of the images used, particularly for backgrounds, are taken from Bowie J. Poag's "Propaganda" set. Propaganda has been released under the Gnu General Public License, which means that those images and all derivative works fall under the GPL. You're welcome to use those images accordingly (ask me if you don't know whether an image qualifies or not)... and if you want the whole Propaganda set, I applaud your good taste and point you to one of the better galleries of the whole of Propaganda.
